Lavender.

I am very into aromatherapy. I really find lavender, along with deep breathing can really reduce my level of anxiety. I have over 10 products that have lavender in them but my two favourite are:-

  1. Keihl’s Goodnight Pillow Mist – This stuff is AMAZING, I spray it on my pillows before bed, sometimes my curtains and just if im in my comfy chair I will spray it around the air.
  2. Lavender essential oil – I put this in an ultrasonic diffuser which i place in my living room. The strong smell that this creates it crazy, I will have this on for hours at a time (even right now while writing this post!)

So they are two of my favourite lavender products. I tend to lean towards a more natural method as in the past I have had lots of medication to try and tame anxiety but id didn’t fit well with me personally. This is a short post but I think useful to maybe a few of you, try it out (providing you like the smell of lavender as my mum HATES it). I will post the links down below of what the products are (these are not sponsored in anyway at all) for you to buy/check them out.

Lists.

Lists are such a big things for me personally, I will make a list for just about anything. The main app that I use is an app called Wunderlist. In the app you can organise everything with titles/dates and you can tick them off as you go along. You can also invite people to your list so together you can check it off (This was great when I was organising a party and different people were buying different things, I could keep a track on if that person had brought it yet and nag them if they hadn’t!) Lists are such a good way of getting all the jumbled and often panicked thoughts from your head and writing them down in one place so that a. You tend not to worry that your going to forget them (as my mind travels at 100mph!) and b. you can prioritise (something that I am learning to do at the moment).

Here is an example of one of my lists.

Introduction.

Welcome to my page first and foremost! This is my blog about anxiety. Im setting this up mainly to raise awareness as so many people suffer from this, secondly I am writing this as a channel of relief for me.

I am 25 and have suffered from anxiety for such a long time (around 15-16yrs). My level of anxiety can range from my hands sweating lots and leg shakes to me full blacking out for some time. Just like (I’m sure) may of other people with anxiety, when your going into an anxiety/panic attack you think that you are “dying” which tends to make the matter much worse.

So this was just a small intro into my blog. I hope you will follow this as I aim to talk about anxiety and a few other things whilst giving my tips on how you can control or calm it down.
